Abstract

The 6G communication system supports terahertz frequency bands. This type of communication system provides highspeed data rates with highest reliability and low latency. The Beaulieu-Xie shadowed (BXS) fading model characterizes the 6G wireless communication channels. In this paper, the sum of Beaulieu-Xie shadowed variates is computed for independent but not necessarily identically distributed (i.n.i.d). Several statistics are derived using moment generating function (MGF) for independent identically distributed (i.i.d) maximum ratio combining (MRC) diversity. Further, the performances are measured in the term of nth moment, outage probability (OP), and error rates. For verifying the proposed expressions, newly obtained results are compared with Montecarlo simulation results and several small-scale fading models such as Beaulieu-Xie, Nakagami-m and Rayleigh fading as special case.
