Increasing the stability of the frequency and amplitude of an oscillator output signal is an important problem in radioengineering. In order to reduce the frequency fluctuations it is the practice to use stabilization by means of a high-Q resonator with automatic frequency control (AFC) devices; to suppress amplitude variations it is the practice to employ automatic power control (APC) systems. The present work considers the stability of the oscillations for combined use of the methods indicated.References
