Abstract

Optimal handling of information signals as a rule gives rise to the necessity of forming reference waves for mutually correlated receivers. Taking account of the promise of using phase-frequency modulated (PFM) signals, it is expedient to derive the fundamental and practical solutions of the problem of coherent reconstruction of their carriers. Synthesis of an algorithm for reconstructing carriers is based on optimal estimation of the initial phase φ of a PFM signal x(.) received in a background of additive stationary Gaussian interference n(.) having a zero average and a unilateral spectral density N.
