The singularities of designing a pulse transformer having no ferromagnetic core have been demonstrated when the transformer is treated as a system having distributed parameters. The procedure has been described for performing the calculation, which is based on minimizing the target function which takes account of the weight-size characteristics of the device and the allowable distortions of the transformed pulse. A method has been proposed for reducing the number of variable parameters and improving the convergence of the algorithm.References
