There are considered two types of orthogonal twists, whose transforming units are formed into square waveguides with two square or step ridges. Electrodynamic models of twists are developed using methods of partial regions and generalized scattering matrixes. There are represented twists optimization results, providing high matching level at all operating frequency band of standard waveguide, whose relation of narrow and wide dimensions is b/a = 0.5. It is demonstrated good accordance of calculated and measured characteristics for real constructed models of two twisting types for waveguide 23×10 mm2. It is shown that lengths of proposed twisting are ten times lesser than traditional smooth ones in case of closed or even better characteristics.
