An algorithm, synthesized for some predictable signal’s form, is used to estimate the arrival instant of a signal having a priori unknown form. Asymptotically exact expressions against a background of Gaussian white influence, when signal-to-noise ratio is growing, were determined. Computer-aided simulation of the synthesized algorithm is carried out.
