Methods of the general theory of single scattering of optical radiation are used for estimating the efficiency of determination of the direction to a laser radiation source based on forward-scattered radiation. The radiation has the Gaussian representation, and the resulting scattered component accounts for the whole atmospheric “column”, whose boundaries coincide with the laser beam edges.References
