Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are inviting submissions to the Special Issue entitled “100th anniversary of professor V. P. Taranenko: Microwave Electronics” in the journal "Radioelectronics and Communications Systems" (ISSN 1934-8061 Online), ISSN 0735-2727 Print).

On March 16, 2024, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, Professor Vadym Taranenko turned 100.

Prof. V.P. Taranenko is a famous scientist in the field of Microwave Electronics and the author of 140 scientific works, including two monographs and 16 author's certificates. Some of Vadym Pavlovich's original works, such as increasing the efficiency of traveling wave tubes, creating powerful electron beams, developing and creating powerful traveling wave tubes, and developing methods for computer calculations of solid-state generators and amplifiers of the millimeter wave range, are still an example for many microwave engineers.

Today, high-frequency technology is a critical element in the development of modern society. Advances in microwave electronics and semiconductor processing technologies have made integrating microwave devices at the chip level possible, paving the way for new technical solutions.

In this Special Issue, we invite you to share your developments in microwave and terahertz devices and systems and new ideas for building fundamentally new and improving existing solutions.

The issue will cover the following topics:

  • Electromagnetic theory
  • Microwave and terahertz measurements
  • Design of microwave and terahertz devices, circuits, and systems
  • Modeling techniques of microwave components and subsystems

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://radioelektronika.org/ by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously on the web-site (as soon as accepted) and listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles, and brief communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should have been published elsewhere and be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. A guideline for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available in the section Publish > Authors Guidelines. Radioelectronics and Communications Systems is a monthly peer-reviewed international scientific journal published by Allerton Press, Inc. and distributed by Springer.

Please visit the «Publish» menu before submitting a manuscript. The publication in this journal is free of charge (without any hidden payments). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English.
