Abstract

We have obtained analytical expression for estimation of passive infrared (IR) optical-electronic systems (OES) detection range, whose analysis allows to define main factors, effecting on air targets detection. A main direction of passive IR OES with matrix photo receiver device (PRD) detection range increase is improvement of systems for primary (enhancement of optical system and PRD) and secondary (new methods search) processing of IR-images. There are represented experimentally obtained IR-images before and after digital processing when human-operator detects air targets.
