Calculations and experimental results prove that the greatest values of the potential gradients and dissipated power are observed in the neighborhood of the input contact which reduces the level of the maximum allowable dissipated power. Below the methodology is suggested which allows determining the optimal profile of the input contacts and providing greater than double increase in the power dissipated by the plate.
