Abstract

The matched operation of modulator and coder in a communications system has been examined in this study. The feasibility of enhancing the spectral efficiency of FM by introducing an additional AM was investigated. On the basis of DPSK a modulation has been developed that is much superior to DPSK in terms of its efficiency.
