Abstract

The paper is devoted to theoretical analysis of the impact of inaccuracy of setting the range of variation of the sounding signal phase shifts on the information parameters of the transformed signal. Expressions are derived for the amplitude and initial phase of the first mode in the spectrum of the difference component of the current flowing through the nonlinear element of frequency converter. Measurement errors, caused by the above factor, are calculated for the amplitude and initial phase of the information signal. Practical recommendations on the design of homodyne frequency converters are formulated.
