Abstract

The paper considers characteristics of the maximum likelihood estimation and Bayes estimation in the case of a quadratic loss function with regard for abnormal errors. Application of the Bayes algorithm is demonstrated to diminish errors of velocity measurement in the threshold domain. Optimal parameters of the sounding pulse sequence, corresponding to minimal errors of velocity measurement, are determined.
