Abstract

Several algorithms are suggested making it possible to improve the estimation accuracy of the central frequency in a narrow-band process. The algorithms can be used in the fast Fourier transform processor during signal detection. Analytical formulas of correction for several weight functions (windows) are derived. An interpolation algorithm for improvement of such estimation for arbitrary windows is developed. The gain in accuracy of central frequency measurement for various methods and weight functions is defined.
